My most recent book, co-authored with my colleague Professor Sam Illingworth, explores the many ways in which poetry can be used in the higher education setting. Poetry can help students to explore their thoughts and feelings, become more critical in their thinking, and explore their creativity. It is available in digital and hardback versions.
I have published widely on topics relating to emotional health and wellbeing for many years. I have a special interest in empathy, believing it to be essential in helping relationships and this has informed a lot of my recent work.
